Yellowheart
Yellowheart is a very nice wood for yellow color. It is far less expensive then some of the premium yellow woods like piquia amarello and piquia marfim. Grain is medium to medium fine. It grows in Brazil and has a specific gravity of about .85 and is offered here kiln dried or completely air dried. Color can darken somewhat with age, resembling more of a deeper gold then yellow. Quite stable when dry. Use sharp cutting tools for turning or cutting.
