Black & White Ebony 200-204

Rare dried small board sections in Black & White Ebony.  This wood has been hardly available for awhile now.  The reason is that Laos has not allowed shipments to leave the country for many years.  The wood is incredibly difficult to dry without defects, and in any case has many defects once it is dried.  We cut these pieces around the defects which are always extensive.   This is because the black lines have a harder density than the yellow/white heart wood and creates tension in the boards.

We are selling at a price that is lower than competitors who have boards for sale with a number of defects.  If we sold defective boards these pieces could easily be 3-4 times as large as they are.   (boards with the defects are available, if interested let us know they cost less but will have to be filled with epoxy, etc).
