Ebony “Steel” A-H

Genuine Ebony that has been dyed black and stabilized. Ultra dense, heavier than Lignum Vitae. I call them “Ebony Steel”.

Even though this wood has a fine grain, a special stabilization program was able to impregnate a large amount of resin in these. They almost feel like picking up a piece of steel bar stock. Sanding is easy and produces a glass like finish. Note that interior color can vary and sometimes the deepest part of the core has a tan or grey streak in it, if there, it is usually about a round 5/8 inch core of differing color. Outside of that they seem to be this really unusual black graphite color.. .
