Hawaiian Sandalwood (paniculatum)

This is Santalum Paniculatum from Hawaii. Note this is a different kind than we have sold before (past type was santalum elipticum). These have all the great working properties of sandalwood, along with some interesting small spalted areas on some. We have soaked them in superglue in many cases and sanded off the excess in order to fill any natural gaps in the wood. This tree was cut too early and therefore has very little smell like sandalwood, for that reason we are selling them 75% under the normal price. We actually paid over twice the retail price shown to get the logs to make these, so we don’t have plans to get more!
