Osage Orange Burl

This is a really rare top quality Osage Orange burl. Our apologies that there isn’t more to sell but: The whole thing was not much bigger than a small bowl blank. Quality of the figure was great, so we decided to dry it very carefully. Took over 5 years under very delicate conditions. The burl splits wide open as it dries, but this does make for an interesting opportunity to fill the gaps with colored glue, which we did. It is possible you might have to glue a little more inside, but I spent easily 5 hours to make sure they were glued as well as they could possibly be. We’d love to get more, but this quality doesn’t seem to be seen much.
