This Peroba Rosa is doubly special: It is from the thick door jambs of a house built in Brazil in the 1860’s. It is also what we call “Flamed” for the wild patterns here. The door jambs were badly cracked with nails and screws in them. We removed all the metal and then cut around all the cracks to produce these.
