Pink Lady Burl 15to19

Pink Lady Burl is a type of chestnut oak. The burl in these particular pieces is outstanding. We heavily glued these from the outside of the pieces, then sanded off the glue remaining. Expect to glue burls such as this when working on them. The best practice seems to be using fine cyanoacrylate followed by a medium if there is a gap big enough to allow that. Usually fine is all you need. Some ask why we don’t stabilize these, which is an option but we think glue is better in this case because stabilization can cause these type of burls to split apart during the process.
