Pink Lady Burl 9to14

Pink Lady Burl, dried pieces. The colors are great, don’t forget to took at the closeup photo to see the crystalline appearance of this burl, quite something in my view anyway! So what is this wood?: It is a type of Chestnut oak and these pieces are by far the best quality oak burl I have ever seen. They were extensively glued from the outside, but always expect with burls like this you might need to stabilize them with glue on the inside too. Some ask why I don’t stabilize them instead, but two things: Stabilizing does not fill gaps in the wood, and second, the force of stabilizing is really strong, it can break and twist burls like this as well as make the color look dull/odd. So we prefer in some cases to glue them extensively instead.
