Pyinma Atoi

Pyinma (aka Asian Curly Satinwood) is a rare wood type from Laos. It was last allowed to be imported about 6 years ago. Reason is not necessarily because it is rare, but all wood trade was stopped in Laos at that time. The pieces are old stock, so totally dry and pictures never quite do them justice as the figure really jumps out when you move them around in good light. Incredibly easy to sand and work, this wood was quite popular when more available. We hope it will be available again some day, for now we don’t have much left.
