Various Burls Pen blanks

There are four types of burl and one piece of Almond with some figure. The Peach Burl is an amazing find. I was able to cut this from a peachtree log years ago. I dried it slowly and while the burl was really small, the figure in it makes me wish I had more. The Roxbury burl is a very rare burl that is related to Stone Hopea burl. Rarely seen for sale anywhere but a very nice burl, especially after finishing when it turns this great orange color. The Gmelia burl was stabilized with pentacryl, and then carefully dried and the natural gaps filled with cyanoacrylate glue. The Almond has two types of wood as it was cut at the hybrid line where two different trees were joined together.
