Borneo rosewood is a rare wood from Laos. Not normally seen on the market as there is almost no wood exported from Laos anymore. We don't have much left. These are dried pieces.

Brazilian Kingwood
This is Brazilian Kingwood. It is a genuine rosewood and becoming rare in quality pieces like these. Last time imported was about 5 years ago, but that was just a very small amount and before that it was many years prior for the last time allowed out of Brazil. We hope it will be allowed out of Brazil again, but the current situation is that we will likely run out in the near future.

Cocobolo 210to218
Cocobolo rosewood in 1.5 x 1.5 x 12's (219 is 2 x 2 x 12). We cleaned these up with a planer on some sides just enough to verify that there are no visible defects. So some areas have the rough original cut sides and some are smooth. They are usually slightly under 1.5 square due to straightening them. We inspect them before offering and AFTER they are dried (which is when a lot of cracks happen) so you don't end up with anything but good surprises. These pieces have all been dried for quite awhile, ready for use now.

Nice clean cut pieces in cocobolo rosewood. They are dried, inspected, sanded and finished. Size could vary but only slightly. These are 1.5 x 1.5 x 6 inch squares. Cocobolo is hard to get now, and we have to cut away a fair amount of these squares to get clean pieces like these.

Brazilian Tulipwood Boards AtoE
A genuine Rosewood last imported into the USA about 13 years ago. We got this stock around 2007. It is nearly gone from the market now. The latin name is Dalbergia decipularis and Brazil hasn't allowed it to leave that country since 2012. The trees are small to moderate sized and virtually every board has a small check running up the center in 1-3 places. These boards were all cut to one side of the checks to create nearly flawless pieces. Note: piece A did have some tiny shallow checks in one area that we glued with superglue. Stock of this quality : I cannot find any other offering on the market that is the quality of these. The only other seller I could find charges 10% higher prices for pieces that are allowed to have some checks and insect holes.

Super rare genuine Rosewood, Brazilian Tulipwood. Last imported around 2012 into the US and no longer imported. These are all high quality pieces. Typically most sellers are selling pieces (if they have it) that are checked, have insect holes and edge cracks. These are far better than that, they are high quality pieces without noticeable defects. Basically we just cut down the bigger boards the other vendors sell and get these small pieces without all the problems areas that are typical. Nearly gone from market. We are selling below the price of the only other vendor we could find and they do allow some small cracks (we don't).
