Borneo Rosewood
Borneo Rosewood is an uncommon wood from Southeast Asia. Species name is: Melanorrhoea usitata. The density is high (about 90% of real lignum vitae in many cases) and many have found it to be an excellent turning wood. These have a very nice deep red color. Some skin reaction is possible with this wood. Either wear gloves or wash hands thoroughly after working on it. The sensation is like a very faint hot pepper feeling.
