Australian Blackwood GG pen blanks
Australian Blackwood (acacia melanoxylon) pen blanks in GG. Gallery grade means there are at least two very figured sides, or sometimes even 3-4 sides that are figured. Close relative of Hawaiian Koa and very hard to tell apart sometimes. But less expensive, and more importantly, still available unlike Koa which is nearly gone in high figured pieces. Sizes are 3/4 x 3/4 x 5-6 inches long. Pen blanks are always sold dried.$8.00

Bloodwood PRIMO PLUS pen blanks
These are a really rare ultra deep red with fine grain that represent the best bloodwood we've had in 20+ years. You'll find that the density is heavier which actually allows finer detail if you want it. This is probably a one time thing, we have gotten bloodwood again since this time but virtually none are like these. We got these in 2021 and slow dried them til now.$4.80

Blue Mahoe 1-20
Blue Mahoe stabilized pieces. Blue mahoe has been nearly impossible to get for 6 years and there is not anything on the horizon for new stock at this time. These pieces will look different once you cut into them but they were actually dyed blue to make the color more long lasting and the color of blue can be almost black/blue to a very light blue. The density of wood in different areas causes the variegated color effect. NOTE THAT NUMBERS BELOW ARE SOMEWHAT OUT OF ORDER. BE SURE TO PICK THE RIGHT NUMBER Sorry!

Blue Mahoe, dried, Stabilized with resin, 1 x 1 x 5 5/8 inches
Bois de Rose pen blank, 3/4
Note: these are samples. Your piece could be darker than the top piece and look almost black when you receive it. It can be very dark all the way through, or could look like the lower one in the picture above. Unfortunately we cannot easily select older pieces for color, because there is no way to tell without cutting the wood first (due to a dark violet patina on old pieces). The normal range of colors goes from purple black to reddish, and they all look basically the same on the outside, but we do make guesses when asked. This wood cannot be shipped outside the USA due to CITES trade rules on woods from Madagascar. Limited supply. Limit of 4 per each seperate order, per day$10.20
