African Wild Olivewood 27

This piece was slow dried over 10 years to get it dry all the way through. For that reason alone, it is rare to even find a piece like this for sale, as most vendors have stopped taking time to dry thick pieces. The figure makes it even more rare because figure is outstanding in this piece as you can see. This piece has a weight/density almost exactly the same as lignum vitae which is amazing.

All these pieces are DRIED (7+ years average our care) and are ready to use immediately. A great wood capable of easy sanding and a very fine glass like finish. From South Africa where it grows wild. Generally harder and heavier then Bethlehem olivewood, but it is related. Capable of fine detail and even ornamental turnery/threading if you want.
