Teak Curly pen blanks
High figured Old Growth Teak from Burma. These pen blanks come from a board that was imported from Burma over 40 years ago. It was kept wrapped up in a stack in a boatyard in Massachusetts for about 30 years, then we bought it 10 years ago. These look best when highly polished. Most are GG+ grade. I'd suggest using sanding sealer before final sanding, but I did not actually do that for the pictures you see here.

Sandalwood (Hawaiian) 1 - 16
A precious wood of great rarity when mature like these. Santalum elipticum is a treasure similar to the highest grades of Mysore Sandalwood from India. This particular group is even more special because they have more oil (and aroma) than even normal good sandalwood. This is why the color is darker in this group, rather than the usual yellowish color. A premium incense, carving and turning wood, as well as an oustanding wood for very special handles. We have very little left, once it is gone, we have no way to get more.

This rare wood from Laos hasn't been imported since about 2018 when all imports were stopped for all wood leaving Laos. As a consequence, it is basically gone from the market for the most part. We have a small amount left and hope you enjoy these while we can still offer them. Dried pieces, figure is hard to show but we've done our best here . .
