Bethlehem/Jerusalem Olivewood

The first 4 pieces are figured Bethlehem Olivewood. Picked out of hundreds of pieces, these are uncommon with this level of figure. Letter D is a burl. E through J are figured Olivewood from Jerusalem. Piece J is a burl, but all these pieces have great figure. We culled these out for years and looked through many hundreds of blanks to find these. You can get a certificate of authenticity for these, just request in comments on checkout.

Black & White Ebony A-Q

Nice dry pen blanks in Black and White Ebony. Black and White Ebony is pretty hard to get now, as most of it comes from Laos, where exports have been stopped. All our stock is old stock as it has been years since the last shipment.

Australian Blackwood 1-6

Wonderful dried and figured pieces that look just like Koa, at a much lower price. These all came from a very large slab. It was part of the outside of a large tree and every bit of it was highly figured. Some Australian blackwood looks more like the photo at the top of this page, but this slab produced pieces that look so much like koa I cannot tell them apart from Koa, and I cannot guarantee that this isn't really koa that was mis-identified as Aussie Blackwood.

Black & White Ebony 423-429

Really tough to find this wood sold dried, usually it is green. These have been tested to be 12% or less with a moisture meter that adjusts for the species, other meters don't work well. NOTES: some of the pieces have been smeared with super glue clear/black which was then sanded off

Dried Black and White Ebony micro lumber. This wood type is hard to get now due to import restrictions in the main country it comes from: Laos. Usually sold wet, but we decided this wood needed to be dried before sale because in some situations it is near impossible to dry without problems. We deal with the problems on our end and send good wood that you can use right out of the box.
