Australian Blackwood 7-20
Wonderful dried and figured pieces that look just like Koa, at a fraction of the price. These all came from a large slab. It was part of the outside of a large tree and every bit of it was highly figured. Some Australian blackwood looks more like the photo at the top of this page, but this slab produced pieces that look so much like koa I cannot tell them apart from Koa, and I cannot guarantee that this isn't really koa that was mis-identified as Aussie Blackwood.

Black & White Ebony 400-413
Really tough to find this wood sold dried, usually it is sold wet and is a real challenge to dry. These have been tested to be 12% or less with a moisture meter that adjusts for the species, other meters don't work well. NOTES: some of the pieces have been smeared with super glue clear/black which was then sanded off.

Black & White Ebony 440-454
Dried small blanks, some with the ultra rare Dalmatian type pattern known as Dalmatian Ebony. I've spent about 12+ years cutting this type of ebony on and off, and have gotten maybe 8-10 good pieces of Dalmatian ebony in that entire time (and all but maybe 2 were pen blanks). NOTES: some of the pieces have been smeared with super glue clear/black which was then sanded off.

Black Box Burl
Black Box Burl from Australia. This is an uncommon burl not normally seen on the market. It is very dense. The wood normally has various small grooves/divets which for these we have filled with superglue and then sanded the excess off. Even though I did a very thorough job, expect to have at least some gluing to do inside the wood unless you want to leave the natural divest as they are.
